Farmers Choice DIY Buckets are available almost every week May – October, starting at $150+tax.
If you want to arrange your own wedding or event florals, or simply want a great deal on a ton of gorgeous, seasonal, locally and chemical-free flowers to play with, we offer DIY Buckets.
Each bucket will have an abundant array of freshly harvested flowers and foliage. There will be 60-80 stems in each bucket, depending on the value of the stems that are being harvested. Typically a quart-size mason jar uses 10-20 stems depending on how airy or full you make the arrangements. We recommend ordering at least 2 buckets for a small backyard event, and more if you’re going bigger.
The DIY Buckets are “Farmer’s Choice.” We can take color preferences into consideration, but we do not offer strict color palettes nor do we guarantee specific flowers. We pick what is ready – our DIY Buckets are true celebrations of The Present.
Pick-up is available at the farm Monday-Friday, in Buckland, MA. We do not deliver DIY buckets, and we do not offer any design advice or services.
Ordering
A few things you’ll want to consider before ordering buckets for an event:
- Do you have someone who can pick up the flowers from our farm 1-3 days before the event, and an air-conditioned vehicle to transport them in? Flowers cannot ever be transported in the trunk of a car or in the open bed of a pickup truck.
- Do you have a good workspace to make the arrangements? Enough table space, a sink and water, and a way to dispose of your stem and leaf clippings?
- Do you have a cool, dark place to store the flowers between pick up and the event?
- Do you have friends or family who can help you make the flower arrangements and set aside several hours to get it all done a day or two before your event?
- Do you have someone who can help install the flowers on the day of the event? And someone to help break them down at the end of the event?

Please make sure to include your event date in your inquiry. Some weekends sell out, so try to plan ahead. Sometimes spontaneity works out too – but we need at least one week’s notice to even consider it.
Once we agree on a date and quantity, you’ll be sent a link for payment. Once paid, DIY buckets are non-refundable.
